About Us

The Lions of Rhode Island are a group of men and women dedicated to the mission of serving those in need. With over 1100 members throughout 31 clubs in the great state of Rhode Island we manage to stay busy with throwing events, volunteering, raising money for those in need, and meeting to come up with the next best idea. Our mission statement is very simple “We Serve.” We serve has been our guiding principle since 1917 when Lions International was founded in Chicago.

Our Team

In District 42 there are over 1100 Lions and 31 clubs. Every year the members come together at the Annual State Convention to elect the next District Governor, First Vice District Governor, and the Second Vice District Governor. After the election is over, it is up to the District Governor to establish a hardworking team of Lions to help run the district and its many projects.
